Our audio player at the bottom of the page is now streaming The Mutineers' latest single, Vegas Lights. Featuring the voice of drummer, Merry Young, the song pays homage to the classic sassy duet of the golden era of Nashville. Recorded at Santa Barbara Sound Design. We are really pleased with how well this recording met our vision. Hope you enjoy! For now this song will only be available to stream on our sites: Facebook, Reverbnation, and right here. We will be cutting a seven-inch with a soon-to-be-released B-side and making them available as part of an upcoming Kickstarter campaign to fund a full album. We hope this will inspire folks to participate so that we can get the same high-quality recording for the entire album. More to come on that over the next month, stay tuned.
In the meantime, tickets are still available for Murder By Death with The Mutineers at SLO Brew HERE. Memorial Day done the Mutes' way. We have our tour poster up and all of the dates filled in for the time being. Can't wait to hit the road.
Next up, its the Benefit for Steve Laffie. Our friend who's alter ego plays in Big Jugs underwent successful heart and kidney transplant surgery. He is now recovering brilliantly and we are trying to lend a hand to help him handle the massive health care expenses he incured. Come out and have a blast with great bands for a good cause. Lots of insane raffle prizes available.
We are absolutely stoked to announce that we are opening for Murder By Death at SLO Brew Co. in San Luis Obispo, CA. We've been following this band's career for years now and have always admired their work. Now we get to open up the show for them at a real swell venue. Thanks to Numbskull for getting us on the bill. Tickets are available here
June is going to be a really busy month for us. We will be promoting a kickstarter campaign to help us record a full length album. We have two songs recorded to give away to all who donate (plus a bunch of other rad gifts) so you can see what direction the band is headed. We have gigs booked in Ventura, Santa Ynez, SLO, SF, and a couple up in Oregon, as well as a few right here in Santa Barbara. Looking forward to a lovely summer and a new album in the fall. Cheers!
Thanks to the rowdy St. Paddy's Day crowd who rallied for us at Whiskeyfest! We hope you all arrived home safely with your whiskey stains and green teeth. See you all at Whiskeyfest III in 2014... Next up, Saturday, April 13, 9:00 p.m., we play our first show at Mike Mutineer's new bar in the funk zone, Seven Bar & Kitchen! And we're bringing our friends from SLO, American Dirt and The Dead Volts. Let's get the place off to a good start, shall we? Come by and celebrate with us and check out the new spot. 224 Helena Ave., Santa Barbara.
Lots of good things coming up this spring and summer, including some new venues we've never played before. Check our updated schedule for dates.
